Haagaar Observatory
Haagaar Observatory is located at Eina in Norway, a small place called Haagaar (Hågår in Norwegian) with good conditions for observation and which has a dark sky with relatively little light pollution.
The observatory is operated by Gotaf (Gjøvik and Toten Astronomical Association), a Norwegian association based in Gjøvik and Toten.
The place was before an old farm with a history that goes back many hundreds of years.
The facility is equipped with a four meter diameter observation tower, tower room, technical room, living room and hall. Outside a small observatory for astrophotography (Smedstua).
The observatory is now also host to one of the Norwegian Meteor Network’s camera setups.
